How To Make Earrings

When you first start to make jewelry with beads, the easiest thing to start with  is earrings.

The simplest earrings are basically beads on a head pin attached to an earring wire. Of course there are many other and more complex designs for earrings but if you are just learning to make jewelry this is the best way to start.

1. Decorate a Head Pin with the beads of your choice.
2. Bend your Head Pin to the side at the top of the last bead you put on the Head Pin with your Needle Nose Pliers.
3. Now you are going to make your Loop to attach to your Earring Wires so take your wire cutters and cut the bent part of the Head Pin to measure a little over ¼ inch or as much as you think you will need to be able to make a loop.
4. Take your Round Nose Pliers and grasp the tip of the bent Head Pin and roll it backwards into a loop.  (It is best before you start making earrings that you take a couple of Head Pins and practice making loops.  It will feel awkward at first but it will become very easy after you practice.)
5. Once you have made your Loop on your Head Pin all you need to do is open up the loop on your Earrings Wires and slip your Head Pin on through the Loop that you just made.
