How to tie a Surgeon's Knot when making jewelry!

A surgeon's knot begins in the same manner as a square knot. 

Wrap the strand in your left hand over the strand in your right hand. Pass the strand in your left hand beneath the strand in your right hand and bring it back up.

Continue making the knot, pass the strand in your left hand over the strand in your right hand. Pass it down, behind and repeat for a total of two wraps.

Bring it up through the middle of the knot.
Pull on the strands to secure the knot.
